During the 2003 Mesaba Country Club season, John Furin completed four hundred fifty 18 hole rounds of golf. Here is a picture of John completing his 450th round!

Once, late in the season, I was sitting in MCC Clubhouse Old Pool Table Room  and John had just finished 9 holes in the cold rain and came into the club house for a break.  While he was sitting around "fertilizing" with everyone, he made the comment to Norm Cowling, "Norm, I thought as soon as you retired, you were going to play more golf. What happened?"

Norm replied, "John, I played over 80 rounds this summer. What's wrong with that?"
