We recently joined on line and after visiting the Nashwauk home page would like to compliment the city on a job well done. Mark was elected to the City Council in 1996 and it has been a very enjoyable experience serving the City of Nashwauk. Thank you to everyone that checks the Nashwauk home page, it is nice to hear what Nashwauk's present and former residents are doing.

Great to see Nashwauk on the Internet. I grew up in Pengilly and graduated in 87 from Greenway High School. My relatives had the Kasper Cafe in Nashwauk for awhile. Your 4th of July celebration is the best. I have lived in the cities for the past 9 years and come home every July for the big celebration. The cities just can't match it. I was so surprised to see Nashwauk on the Internet and think the web page is wonderful. It is so nice to see pictures from the area I grew up in. I do come home as often as I can but when I can't I now have a place to visit on the Internet. Looking forward to updates on the pictures!! Keep up the good work!

Hello Nashwauk: I grew up in Nashwauk and attended both the old elementary school and the NK Junior High in Keewatin. My dad was Frank Royal, who passed away several years ago but I am sure is remembered by many. The pictures I seen of the old grade school brought back lots of memories for me. I also remember John Briskies store, the old telephone company and the hotel and shoe shop my dad owned. Since leaving Nashwauk I have always said no one does the Fourth of July like you guys do. Keep up the good work and hope to visit soon. Say hi to Bernice, Sara, Linda, and Rosemary for me. Ruth Royal Apel

Hello! I was a foreign exchange student in N.K. High School and graduated -95. I stayed with Gary and Marge Lewis in Pengilly. It was fun to find your homepage. Gary is here visiting now, he's hunting moose here. He didn't get any though. But he says he has a lot of fun. Tomorrow he's coming with me to school.
