News The Gospel
According to Dr. Seuss a Seussentenial Bible School Vacation Bible School will be Aug.
9-12. We will be at Longyear
Park, and will hear the gospel as told by that great children’s author, Dr.
Seuss himself. This year is the 100th
anniversary of the birth of Theodore Geisel, otherwise known as Dr.
Seuss. Many of Seuss’s books have
themes that are consistent with the message of Jesus, like Horton Hears a
Who, “a person’s a person, no matter how small.” Keep evenings open Aug. 9-12, from 5:30 to
8:00, as we explore the gospel according to Dr. Seuss. Children, teens, and adults from the
community are welcomed and helping hands are always needed! (Pre-schoolers should be accompanied by an
adult.) Remember. . . the third Sunday of the month is Food Shelf Sunday. Please bring non perishable food items,
soaps, or paper products to share with those in need. Cash donations are always appreciated.
