The Gospel According to Dr. Seuss

 a Seussentenial Bible School

Vacation Bible School will be Aug. 9-12.  We will be at Longyear Park, and will hear the gospel as told by that great children’s author, Dr. Seuss himself.  This year is the 100th anniversary of the birth of Theodore Geisel, otherwise known as Dr. Seuss.  Many of Seuss’s books have themes that are consistent with the message of Jesus, like Horton Hears a Who, “a person’s a person, no matter how small.”  Keep evenings open Aug. 9-12, from 5:30 to 8:00, as we explore the gospel according to Dr. Seuss.  Children, teens, and adults from the community are welcomed and helping hands are always needed!  (Pre-schoolers should be accompanied by an adult.)

Remember. . . the third Sunday of the month is Food Shelf Sunday.  Please bring non perishable food items, soaps, or paper products to share with those in need.  Cash donations are always appreciated. (place offering in an envelope marked “Food Shelf”.)

Thank you to all who helped serve the Community Cafe in July.  We serve again in Sept., on the 5th Thursday, Sept. 30.

Bible Study - is taking a break for the summer.  Look for Bible Study again, starting in Sept.

Women of the ELCA - will meet on Tues., Aug. 3 at 5:30 p.m at Janice Reed’s home.  All women of the church are invited.  Rides are available.

Oct. 12 - Potluck at church (set up for KIWI - 6 p.m.)

Nov. 6 - Bazaar at Bovey Village Hall, 1-3 p.m.

Nov. 9 - Bonnie Gernander’s home

Monthly Financial Note - May income - $7,881.

                                       June income - $4,629.

Needed for budget each month - $5085.

Your offerings are always important and appreciated each week, to do the ministry of Jesus in our communities.
