Hospitalized? Remember to tell’em! If you are hospitalized in Grand Rapids, please remember to let the admission person know what church you are from. Don’t just say, “Lutheran.” If you tell them your church name, the hospital will call the pastors and let them know you are there. Helps us out a lot! Thanks!

Parish Picture Directory is Coming!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to have their pictures taken. It’s a great service to our congregations to have everyone in the directory, so new members can learn names. We are working to get it ready for the printer, and hope to have it in your hands before Thanksgiving. If you did not get your picture taken, you may still be able to receive a directory. Talk to the pastors to find out how. Everyone who had their picture taken receives a directory.

Prayer Shawl Ministry – All three congregations are getting involved in knitting and crocheting prayer shawls. If you would like more information or would like to request a shawl for someone, please talk to Pastor Judy. If you are on the Internet, go to www.shawlministry.com for patterns, tips, stories, prayers, and history of prayer shawls.

Pastors’ on Vacation – Pastor Loren and Judy and their family will be on vacation from Aug. 13-16, to attend their niece’s wedding. Pastor Judy will also be gone Aug. 20-28, and Pastor Loren will be gone Sept. 9-15. Pastor Arlin Talley of First United Church will be available in case of emergency, 245-1261.
